Important Info for Kindergarten Parents
Kindergarten students must be accompanied to and from bus stops by a parent, guardian, or other designated individual. Those authorized to take custody of kindergarten students must be listed on the Emergency Data Card maintained at the school and they must have identification available when receiving a student at the bus stop. An older sibling who is at least 12 years old may take custody of a kindergarten student at the bus stop. No change of custody is required if an older sibling is riding the bus with a kindergartner unless the parent has indicated otherwise.
Note New Kindergarten Authorization Form
These forms were provided to elementary schools for completion at kindergarten orientations. Questions? Contact Chris Scholz in Transportation Services at 571.402.3914.
Transportation Services has implemented the use of a Kindergarten Authorization Form. This form should be completed by the parent/guardian and given to the Office of Transportation Services so the bus driver will have the information they need when delivering students home. This helps limit the need for drivers to call seeking guardian information at the bus stop. If at any time during the school year the parent/guardian needs to make a change to the information, a new form will need to be completed at the school.
