2. Always say please when you ask for something and thank you when you receive something.
3. Hold the door for people rather than letting it close on them.

7. If you win or do well at something, do not brag.If you lose, do not show anger.
8. Do not laugh at or make fun of students' comments, ideas, appearance, or differences.
9. Do not show disrespect with words, gestures, or facial expressions.
10. If someone bumps into you, say excuse me, even if it was not your fault.
11. If you see trash on the floor anywhere in the school, pick it up and throw it away.
12. Keep yourself and the bathrooms clean.
13. After eating in the cafeteria or elsewhere, be responsible for your trash.
14. Never vandalize the school, its property, or the property of others.
15. Do not misuse or destroy materials or tools.
16. During an assembly, do not talk or call out to friends.
17. Transitions will be quick, quiet, and orderly.
18. Walk quietly in the hallways and never cut in line.
19. Do not ask for a reward.
20. Be as organized as possible.
21. Do not save seats in the cafeteria or on the bus.
22. All Pattie Essentials apply to the school bus and when nobody is watching.
23. When a substitute teacher, or any adult is present, all Pattie Essentials apply.
24. Know the names of staff and students and greet them in the hallway by name.
25. Greet visitors and make them feel welcome.When meeting new people, shake hands and repeat their names.
26. When on a field trip, enter the building quietly and compliment the place you are visiting.Thank them when you leave.
27. Maintain self-control - even in times of anger or frustration.
28. Always be honest.
